Time to Talk | Leasing Foundation Event on 16th May 2019 from 5pm to 7pm
Venue: Lombard/Royal Bank of Scotland offices, 250 Bishopsgate in London (during Mental Health Awareness Week)
Liberty is pleased to be supporting the Time to Change initiative, run by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness, by taking part in The Leasing Foundation’s #TimetoTalk event on 19th May 2019 from 5pm – 7pm. The event is being held in conjunction with Lombard – RBS and Shire Leasing, supported by other organisations within the leasing and asset finance industry.
The evening is taking the form of an afternoon tea and guests are encouraged to kick-start discussions and break down the stigma of mental health. There will also be speakers and a panel session, followed by networking.
Mental health problems will affect around 1 in 4 people and taking time to talk can make a world of difference on both sides of the coin. Time to Change was formed to encourage people to change their attitudes and behaviour towards mental health problems and take an interest in the lives of those around you, in all aspects of your life. 1 in 3 people have experienced mental health problems whilst working and Time to Change provides resources on how to spot, help and support colleagues who might be dealing with mental health problems.
Laura Roberts, Legal Director of Liberty Leasing and Contributing Member of The Leasing Foundation, said “It’s vital for employers to recognise the importance of mental health and the impact this can have on its employees. Liberty Leasing are committed to the Time to Talk initiative and making the workplace an environment where employees feel able to discuss their mental health problems. We’re really looking forward to the evening and getting involved with other future events arranged by The Leasing Foundation to continue breaking down the stigma of mental health problems.”
The event is free of charge to attend and tickets are still available from Eventbrite
