Laura Roberts, Liberty Leasing’s Legal Director, has been shortlisted in the ‘Business Leader of the Year – Creditor’ category for the second time in a row at this year’s ‘Women in Credit Awards’. The awards form part of ‘Credit Week’, a five-day event for professionals in the financial services industry comprising of conferences, networking events with the Gala Dinner closing the week.
The ‘Women in Credit Awards’ were created to highlight the successes of women throughout the credit and financial services industry and at last year’s sell-out event, Laura won ‘Woman of the Year – Creditor’.
Talking about her nomination, Laura said, “I am very honoured to have been nominated for the second time in the ‘Business Leader of the Year – Creditor category’. The ethos behind the awards and their aim to draw attention to and celebrate the achievements of women in our industry is wonderful. I want to wish the very best of luck to all the finalists and I look forward to celebrating with you all on the night!”.
Laura has been working in the financial services industry since 2005, mainly within the asset finance industry. She began her career as a Legal Assistant and qualified as a solicitor in 2009. Laura worked her way up to Head of Legal, then moved to Liberty Leasing to take up the position of Legal Director in 2015 and established the Legal Department to support her.
