This Year’s Official Hashtag is #LWA2017
The 3rd October 2017 will mark the 9th Leasing World Awards and this year’s is set to be the biggest yet. Having grown every year the Awards has moved to the banqueting halls of Hilton London Bankside, Great Suffolk Street, London SE1 0UG. For those familiar with the NACFB, it’s a short walk from the NACFB Annual Dinner Venue.
Leasing World wanted to make the most of the new venue and add an interactive element to the evening. Liberty Leasing Plc offered to assist with incorporating a Social Media Wall which will display social media posts from Twitter and Instagram which have used the Awards dedicated hashtag #LWA2017.
Twitter Wall Instructions:
- Make sure you have Twitter or Instagram on your mobile.
- Launch either Twitter or Instagram’s and compose your tweet or post (tip: try and keep it visual and include a pic in your tweet. Tweets with lots of text will just display your twitter profile pic so please be mindful of your twitter profile pic)
- Make sure to include the hashtag #LWA2017 or your tweet / post will not show up on the Twitter.

“Having had a professional working relationship with Liberty since 2012, I’ve certainly seen more businesses within the commercial finance sector adopt aspects of the digital and social media world. It is apparent though that in an industry that focuses on the importance of professional relationships there is an element of refusing to allow social media to disintegrate traditional methods of doing business.
Having dealt with a range of industries that have deeply embedded social media into their digital and marketing strategies, it is evident within commercial and asset finance there is a great importance placed on relationships that have a personal touch. With that said, the world of social media is a hard one to ignore in 2016 and when used effectively it can promote a brand and business as well as encouraging networking online.
Jan Szmigin of Leasing World wanted to add a bit of interactivity to the evening and the Tweet Wall seemed to be ideal and appeared to be popular last year so we are doing it again this year. With the unique hashtag #LWA2017 it will mean that only tweets for the Awards will be shown. Hopefully, the social media wall will offer some interaction and a little bit of fun for what is set to be a great evening.”
