As a company Liberty Leasing has always been proud of their SME status, starting from humble beginnings in Hamble back in 2001 with a small handful of employees. Since then Liberty has seen impressive growth and now has a team of over 40 longstanding and committed colleagues based at their new, larger premises in Warsash, Southampton.
A welcomed antidote to a neglected area of the British Economy
Although, there appears to be plenty of analysis for the FTSE100 index, and to a certain extent the FTSE250, there is relatively little produced on smaller enterprises, especially those that are not public limited companies. Medium sized firms contribute nearly £1 trillion of revenues annually and up to a quarter of private sector employment. Arguably, this sector particular from data analytics and insight is neglected, however the Investec Mid-Market 100 appears to be an antidote to this situation.
So what is the Mid-Market 100 List?
The Mid-Market 100 is an official ranking by Investec with data analysis provided by Experian and provides a list of the fastest growing private companies in the UK with a minimum turnover of £10m and EBITDA of £1m. The ranking is based on filings of individual companies at Companies House, and recorded on the Experian platform. Investec appear to be committed to developing a greater appreciation for this vital part of the economy, for a medium sized company it’s really encouraging to see achievements of mid-market companies and entrepreneurs being showcased.
Continued Success for Liberty Leasing
In addition to ranking on the Mid-Market 100, 2015 saw Liberty make the “1000 Companies to Inspire Britain” which is compiled by the London Stock Exchange and is an annual celebration of some of the fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the UK.
Allan Clegg, Managing Director commented:
“2015 has been a fantastic year for Liberty Leasing. We feel it is testament to all the hard work of every one of our colleagues who we know are the fundamental key to our success. Being a Medium sized company is only a positive in our eyes and we believe we are fortunate to have a well-established team that feels more like a family. This seems to lend itself well to the personal service we offer to all of our clients and customers.
We’ve also seen growth with the addition of a couple of new departments welcoming Laura Roberts as head of legal and Asset Manager, Nigel Wilkinson. We have some ambitious plans and developments that will hopefully take us into a very exciting and successful 2016.”
