We’re proud to announce that Liberty Leasing has won the Wraith-Carter Award for Innovation at the Leasing World Going Further Gold Awards 2025.
Held at The Hilton Bankside in London, the awards ceremony brought together leading names in the asset finance industry. Liberty were finalists in several categories, including Asset Finance Lender of the Year and Top Specialist Car Funder. Ultimately, we were honoured with the Wraith-Carter Award for Innovation — recognising our commitment to fostering innovation across our business operations.
Above all, the judges recognised three key areas of innovation that are helping to reshape how we operate and deliver value to our brokers and customers:
Transforming Operations with Our Bespoke CMS: Liberty Live
Built entirely in-house, Liberty Live has revolutionised our operations from proposal to pay-out. It drives efficiency, reduces risk, and enables us to deliver exceptional service.
With seamless eSign integration, Liberty Live enables faster deal turnaround, with payouts typically completed within 24–48 hours.
We started developing our own Liberty Live software five years ago with our in-house development team. It’s taken time, money, and patience, but we’re now starting to really reap the rewards from all our efforts — delivering a much improved and efficient service to our brokers and customers.

Embracing the Future with Lendscape Asset Finance
To futureproof our business and accelerate digital transformation, Liberty is preparing to transition to the Lendscape Asset Finance platform — trusted by over 120 banks and finance providers.
This move marks a major step forward in innovation and operational agility. With real-time visibility, seamless integration, and a customer-centric approach, Lendscape will empower smarter, faster decision-making. Its future-ready architecture also positions us to scale efficiently as we continue to grow.
“Having all our systems connected helps our customers in several ways. Not only knowing we’ve got the complete picture across the board but also speed of decision. It was core for us to integrate Liberty Live system into Lendscape utilising APIs… it completes the lifecycle of the whole deal.”
Edward Ockleford, Head of Operations
Securing Our Future Through Employee Ownership
In 2024, Liberty transitioned to an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) — allowing our founders to retire while securing the company’s future in the hands of those who know it best: our employees.
This shift has strengthened trust and empowerment across the business. Every member of the Liberty team is now a co-owner, actively shaping the company’s direction and success. Our EOT journey has even attracted interest from funders, signalling a broader industry shift in how succession, sustainability, and shared success are approached.
Looking Ahead
Liberty’s progress over the past five years has taken time, investment, and patience — and this award win is a powerful recognition of those efforts. We’re delivering a more efficient and improved service to our brokers and customers, and while there’s still work to do, our investment in systems, processes, and people means we’re well-positioned to continue driving innovation in the asset finance industry.
